For us, part of studying, photographing and giving talks about Turkey, is learning the language. Thanks to our teacher, Yelda, we are making some progress. Most of any language is learning the vocabulary. In Turkish, the grammar is also interesting (to put it mildly).
Turkish Language Recipe Cards are each one page for download in PDF format. They can be read in any order and independently of the other pages. I hope you find them useful.
General. Turkish includes a variety of letters not found in the English aphbabet
Harmony. Turkish words are assembled in pieces. Rules state how vowels and consonants are adjusted for harmonious speech
Noun Cases. Nouns have six cases, and the word endings change for each
